• In a glass measuring cup, whisk together:
• ²/₃ cup water (88g), warmed
• 1¹/₂ tsps yeast
• Pro tip: Overheat the water in the microwave for 30 seconds, then titrate with cold water until you reach a nice warm bath temperature. The yeast will then dissolve without being boiled alive.
• In a mixing bowl, combine:
• 2 cups flour (256g)
• ¹/₂ tsp salt
• 1 tsp baking powder
• Transfer the yeast to a stand mixer bowl along with:
• 3 tbsps olive oil (45g)
• Knead with a dough hook on medium speed while gradually adding the flour mixture.
• Knead until thoroughly combined, then two minutes longer.
• Cover loosely with cling-wrap and let rise for 30 minutes in the mixer bowl on the warm stovetop.
• Optional: Brush the dough with olive oil so it doesn't stick while you're forming it into a pizza crust.
