Aunt India's Chocolate Drop Cookies

• Ingredients
• unsalted butter
• brown sugar
• sugar
• cocoa powder
• cocoa powder
• salt
• baking powder
• baking soda
• 1 egg
• vanilla extract
• flour
• Recipe
• Line cookie sheets with parchment. Beat together:
• ¹/₂ cup unsalted butter (113g)
• ¹/₃ cup brown sugar (64g)
• Whisk together:
• ¹/₂ cup sugar (105g)
• 3 tbsps cocoa powder
• 3 tbsps cocoa powder, black (can also use regular cocoa)
• ¹/₂ tsp salt
• ¹/₂ tsp baking powder
• ¹/₄ tsp baking soda
• Add to the mixer and beat, then add and beat:
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• Add and beat until just mixed:
• 1¹/₈ cups flour (144g)
• Drop onto the cookie sheet and bake. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes. Makes [1] dozen large cookies.
